Key Result Areas

  1. Overall responsibility for the delivery of a Project by adherence to scope, budget and schedule;
  2. Management of multiple projects with wide scopes of delivery, requiring close control and clear prioritisation to maintain timelines;
  3. Formal point of contact with the client, sub-contractors and external authorities;
  4. Technical and Commercial control from the full project lifecycle from design through to client handover;
  5. Ensure compliance to company, client and third-party quality management requirements;
  6. Creation and control of required project documentation in line with company and client requirements;
  7. Formal reporting both internally and externally;
  8. Adherence to company processes and procedures;
  9. Technical and Commercial risk identification and management;
  10. Visible task management through effective meetings;
  11. Resource management to maintain timelines while supporting other company goals;
  12. Proactive in recovering variation income;
  13. Evaluation of successes and challenges to enhance personal and company development;
  14. Willingness to travel to contractor and client sites and spend time away from base location during the week.

Knowledge:

  1. Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in an engineering discipline.
  2. Ideally qualified under the APM chartered body.
  3. Health and Safety leadership.
  4. Advanced MS Office Skills (including Microsoft Project).
  5. CAD literate (primarily Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD).

Experience:

  1. At least 10 years of proven project management experience within the engineering sector.
  2. Working in a mechanical handling design environment with customers working in harsh applications.
  3. Delivery of high value engineering projects.
  4. Approving work prior to client presentation.
  5. Working within highly pressurised environments.
  6. Risk management on high value and technically challenging overseas contracts.
  7. Project scheduling.
