Jon is a Senior FEA Project Engineer at MAATS, he has extensive experience of Static & Dynamic FEA analysis including explicit impact modelling. This involves working on a wide range of analysis projects to ensure the structural integrity of engineering designs; this supports proof of compliance to relevant codes and standards.
Prior to joining MAATS in 2018, Jon has held engineering analysis roles in the Aerospace and Defence sectors.
Jon holds a MSc in Mechanical Engineering, is a member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and is an advocate for using modelling and simulation techniques to optimise engineering designs.

Ben manages the Analysis Department, a dynamic team of Mechanical Engineers specialising in Finite Element Analysis. The team provides a comprehensive capability for our products and clients, achieving design approvals from classification societies such as Lloyds Register and DNV GL. Ben leads the team to provide Engineering consultancy services to a wide range of industries including Energy, Defence and Aerospace.
Joining MAATS Tech in 2013 from the Defence industry, Ben has extensive experience of test procedures and advanced analysis techniques that are applicable across the product life cycle.
Ben is a Chartered Engineer and member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE). He holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester.

James is a Senior Engineer working as a member of the Analysis Department, specialising in Finite Element Analysis. This includes managing consultancy projects and providing FEA services for a range of different industries such as Marine, Mining and Defence.
James joined MAATS Tech in 2014 as a graduate from Oxford Brookes University with a BEng in Mechanical Engineering.
Since joining MAATS Tech he has gained experience in advanced analysis techniques as well as client and classification society liaison in order to achieve design approval.

Senior FEA Project Engineer
Julien is a Senior FEA Project Engineer at MAATS. Within his current role, he is in charge of delivering Finite Element Analysis to a wide range of sectors including energy, marine, and aerospace.
Julien holds a MSc in Mechanical Engineering. After joining MAATS in 2017 as a Senior Design Engineer, Julien progressed to the FEA department in 2019.
In addition of his FEA expertise, Julien has 10 years of experience in structural design for the offshore industry where he has built up a strong knowledge for codes, standards and design practices.
